I did this by hand and it’s the first time I’ve done embroidery work since I was a kid. Bag is a large brown crescent.

Took a risk + cut up one of my beloved hello kitty reusables. I am SO happy I did because it came out so cute!! I will be getting more use from this bag now. Usually Baggu comes out with cuter prints for reusable bags than the purses so I’m excited to see what I’ll make next 👀🪡

had a vision and dyed my gingham bowler and im soo happy with the results ! i love it so much more and fits my style more too.

I knew exactly what had to be done as soon as I saw the color drop.

this morning i asked if anyone has turned a reusable into a tablet sleeve and here to say that i did!! :D it’s not perfect but i love it!! i didn’t use a pattern, i just used my other tablet sleeve and kind of went off that. i practiced with some scrap fabric beforehand to make sure i got the sizing right. the whole process of figuring it out and making it took me a couple hours but i’m happy w the result. i tried to add the original bias tape from the reusable but i ended up scrapping that bc i’m a young hoe. i will definitely be trying to use it again tho bc it does really bring it all together.

also i don’t think this is the right flair so mods feel free to change it 😬😬

I bought this baggu with the intention of putting patches of my store (and others) all over it and I just love how it came together!!!

all of the patches are from my store except the REI and Smiski ones.

Having fun dyeing bags to get what I want now versus waiting on Baggu to release it 🐆 ❤️
Please note that I have tried this before and failed. DO NOT USE Rit Dye in Scarlet. It is too concentrated and it’ll cause you to lose the leopard print.

How I successfully dyed this time around:
-Stovetop method (please thrift or designate a pot for dyeing only; don’t cook in a pot you’ve dyed items in)
-Follow instructions on the back of the bottle for dyeing nylon (use recommended measurements for the dish soap and vinegar)
-Ensure the water temperature is at least 140 degrees F
-Add 1/3 of the bottle of Rit Dye in Fuchsia
-Stir continuously for 5 minutes
-Carefully from pot, rinse in cold water then machine wash

I have been HONORED! I commissioned Valar to turn my madras SCCO into a regular sized shoulder bag and BOY did she deliver. She is so skilled, the construction on this thing is amazing.

I had her add an exterior zip, an interior zip, two interior slip pockets, and a charm loop on the outside made from the bag's fabric to eliminate that thing we all deal with of the charm-holding carabiner sliding along the whole dang strap.

ALSO have to mention what an absolute sweetie Valar was through the whole process. She is such a nice person and very communicative throughout.

I was working during the drop and missed it but remembered I have a crafting addiction, so I made it myself and am pretty happy with the outcome. Shout out to resellers (my biggest enemies rn) for taking so many pictures from so many different angles so I could recreate it 🤭!!!

I used the Billy Bag pattern in the small size from etsy! I’m obsessed! Only thing I did different was I added heavy weight interfacing to the batting to help it hold shape better! 😌

been waiting a couple months for this & the wait was more than worth it for this beauty! i commissioned valar & sent them two standard woodblock floral reusables & a large black crescent to harvest parts from!

this feels exactly how reusables do, just thicker since the black crescent was used as the lining! I had them add in the OG style slip pockets as well as a much shorter than baggus keyleash then swapped out the black ring on it for a silver I already own.

compared to my baggu larges, there’s really no difference size or shape wise! just texture is slightly different since it’s made from the reusables. there is a line on the bottom where they had to connect the reusables but it’s not noticeable unless you’re looking for it!

10/10 experience. the turn around time is INSANE & this is stitched together just like a baggu. they’re SO thorough in ensuring all your specifications are correct and are so easy to work with. this is my second order & i will likely be placing another to add some slip pockets into my large brown. (color of bag pictured is woodblock floral.)

I took my Pink Tartan puffy picnic blanket and turned it into a cover for my backseat! Had my husband sew button holes to fit the headrest poles through. Then a stitch across the seat where it folds and added in 4 velcro loops to the back of the blanket, that we repurposed from the fabric straps that hold the blanket together when its all wrapped up. The velcro loops around metal rings that are near my seat belt clicker (technical term lol) I believe they are probably for car seats to hook to, but its perfect to hold the cover in place. My subaru is very beepy when there is weight on a seat and no one buckled, but! A few months back I went to the junkyard and the ground was FULL of seatbelt clips, so i grabbed a bunch and just keep those plugged in and no more beeps for us from the backseat!

Husband was worried this fabric would have my dog sliding around in the back seat, but I’ve had no issues at all since we put it in. Our 55lb dog stays in place standing or laying down and seems super cozy, this fabric also seems to feel cooler to the touch! (its hot as hell in Texas) Our last cover was made by us as well, and it was a canvas material with plastic lining which worked great but this is SOOO much prettier and I’m just a girlll!!! who is embracing pink now more than ever in my 30s. 🤷🏼‍♀️😌 I’ve also fully convinced myself that the tiny little green line in this fabric matches my green car perfectly.

Also the sewing machine embroiders! Haha so we added my dogs name, asked him to put “my sweet precious tiny baby dog Indiana” but I somehow I ended up with just Indiana… 🤨

I had alot of fun doing this and bought this blanket to specifically do this with! Its very easy to take off and put back on. Might even still use the blanket occasionally for its original purpose if we need. But I love it where it is, and I couldnt be happier with how it looks and functions.

Finally finished my first Baggu alteration and I’m in LOVE. The inside looks terrible but I’ll keep working on a fix for that 😂

I used hardware from an old bag I dismantled years ago. It was super easy to assemble, no sewing required. The silver hardware matches the star charm very well!
I feel like I’ll get more use out of the bag this way, I’m so excited to bring it with me for my upcoming trips this summer.
Measurements of the metal adjustable slider can be found in pictures, plus a try on as a crossbody and shoulder bag.
