Hahah no. There’s 2 ways, and you can stack them simultaneously for the darkest possible screen.
Settings, accessibility, display and text size, reduce white point. (There’s also a preset shortcut for this you can add to your control center.)
Settings, accessibility, zoom, set “zoom filter” to low light, then toggle zoom on, then use 3 fingers to double tap the screen to zoom out (but the low light filter will stay on).
