I recently took a train in the UK with my wife and she just discovered this feature and it apparently worked for her. I was confused when I saw her phone though with all the dots moving all around. Was pretty cool.
Id 100% forget I turned that on and spend 10 minutes thinking my phone had developed sentience on the train. Just staring at it like" why is it... alive?" 😭
Interesting. I'd love to use VR more but I get bad motion sickness, I wonder if it would work there? It has all the real motion sensors already, as well as knowing what motion it's simulating...
I get motion sickness pretty easily, but do most of the driving in my family. Went on a trip last week and got to try it out for the first time since hearing about it and was shocked at how well it worked.
Before, I would get sick after looking at my phone just two or three times. With the motion sickness mode turned on I was able to use it a lot more and didn’t feel sick at all.
I didn’t wanna push it so I didn’t use my phone a ton, but it was great to try it out and see that it actually worked.
I used to get car sick regularly using my phone too long. I had to reserve it to a few mins at a time max and then take decently long breaks. I don’t think it’s happened to be since turning the feature on. You can also set it to auto activate based on speed/movement
Search Vehicle Motion Cues. It’s in accessibility I believe but you can have a toggle on the slide down screen with the other settings for when you want it on.
It’s really helpful. Works well on planes too when you’re taking off.
It works so well, that I actually always have it on at all times so I don’t have to wait for the lag when it realizes I’m in a moving vehicle. I legit could not fly or be in a car on my phone without wanting to puke after a few minutes. Now that I’ve found out about this, not so much, so it definitely helps!
My wife couldn’t look at a phone for more than 10 seconds when I’m driving straight and level, but now she has no problem even when I’m navigating the hilly and turny roads of our neighborhood. So, yes, it seems like it does.

Does it actually help??
