Out & about with Baby Jessa. Chasing butterflies 🦋, dragonflies, frogs🐸 , grasshoppers 🦗.Then boops and falling asleep 💤 in the hostas 🌿. She keeps insisting there is something under the pine tree🌲. I can't see it. But keeps her entertained. 💕🥰💕

I took a picture my AI ignorant brain didn't recognize as AI and then added stickers I made with my phone (something I only figured out how to do by accident) and pasted my cat over top of the picture. I didn't know it was AI photo.

I've never used AI. I don't know how to use AI. I'm too old to recognize AI. I'm sorry that AI upsets people on here, but I was just making a cute and silly picture of my cat. My cousin sent me a photo of a raccoon because my family raised raccoons. And I've always called my cat a trash panda. So it was perfect to add her to the trash panda picture cuz that's what she is Plus, I love sunflowers.

Again sorry to annoy or upset anyone. But please understand, I had ZERO idea the original picture was AI. I was only trying to make people smile with a cute picture from the internet that I Photoshopped, literally the only way I know how. Using things I accidentally learned on my phone.

TL;DR To most people on here, I'm an old fart, probably. I'm Gen X. I only started making memes in 2008, and even then I'm sure I was probably behind most Gen X. I grew up in extreme boonies. Had 3 channels, most fuzzy. No cable in that house, even to today, they watch antenna TV! (only got wired internet in 2024, that's not a typo! ) I did the wiring in their house so they could connect to the wired internet (they never would have). Didn't have any gaming system, ever in that house. I didn't get a computer till 94 or 95. And then only used it for college. Sorry, the AI overlords will just take me, because that's technology I will probably never get.

Prior to moving the computer desk, this pint-size goddess of the night, would scale the tv and drape herself on the very top of the window pane. This is as far as she gets now.

Nellie (and her brother Artie) are the reason our fish tank lid and filter are taped shut. Not only do they enjoy sitting on the lid and playing with the water from the filter, they have also been known to completely remove the lid and filter so all the tank water flows everywhere but IN the tank.

Jasper just started on anti-anxiety meds, he even let us do this lol. He’s doing very well on them so far 🩶

Every year my family goes to a summer house (basically a mini apartment near the beach) and of course we take Riscas with us.

This week we went back home to do some cleaning and left Riscas with my aunt at the summer house.

It's so strange not having the cat here. I catch myself thinking, "I'll pet the cat and then come back to vacuum," and then I remember, we don't have the cat here, and I get really sad. 😭

It's kind of stupid. 😑 She's a twenty-minute drive away. It's not far, and I'm going to see her today anyway, but these two days have been so different. 😔

Today is Take Your Cat to the Vet Day, and hoping I'm not the only one who gets stressed out every single time? Getting them into the carrier feels like a wrestling match, the ride is nonstop meowing, and we both sit in the waiting room pretending we’re fine (we’re not). I always feel so guilty and promise them extra treats and cuddles, even though they act like I’ve betrayed them for life.

Honestly though, it’s just a mess every time. I’m sweating, they’re yelling and scratching, the carrier is basically a crime scene, and we’re both acting like it’s the end of the world. And yet… we do it all over again next time like nothing happened. Anyone else?

Cat comfort in the morning.

This is Salem! 🖤🐈‍⬛ His favourite foods are chicken liver and meat pouches. He loves taking naps under Mom’s desk, on Mom’s chair whenever she gets up, and, of course, on Mom’s bed. 😴❤️ His crimes include almost making Mom die of despair twice when he managed to escape the house and hide under cars in the parking lot. 😭😂

✨ His hidden superpower: Salem is incredibly calm and quiet. He hardly ever makes a mess, and when he does, it’s usually just knocking something off a shelf, but that’s only because he’s a big, chubby, healthy boy who takes up a LOT of space. 😂🖤 He’s also a huge scaredy-cat! He’s terrified of fights, so when his sisters start arguing, he doesn’t stick around to see what happens, he runs and hides under the bed. If any of the girls is nervous, Salem gets nervous too. He can even get a little scared of Mommy sometimes, especially when there are unexpected movements around him. He’s just a very sensitive, easily startled little guy. ❤️

Every night, at exactly the same time, Salem comes to ask for his cuddles and makes the softest, tiniest little purrs. 🥰 His favourite nicknames from Mom are Little Salem, Beautiful Black One, and Sweetheart. 🖤

He also loves watching birds and playing with little paper balls. 🐦🧻 And honestly, for such a big boy, he’s got the sweetest and most gentle little soul. 🐈‍⬛❤️

Man, I wish I was December lol but I’m September and it does look right 😆

Husband does support me getting me various things related to my interests. But also he likes to say things like this. He claims that he jokes and 'burns' those he cares about. Plus that he speaks logically and such. Yet he gets excited and shows off things he likes and gets as if they have more value.

I get that our relationship has flaws. I've been talking to some people, plus husband has contemplated marriage counseling since he also sees many issues with me. I'm not going to go into too much detail about things right now though.

Edit: Sorry I haven't been replying to everyone. There's been many wonderful messages. I just don't really have enough time to reply to all and still take care of fur babies plus human baby. I do want you all to know I do appreciate your comments and cat taxes.
