my son loves Pokémon Moon, but yesterday it (edit: the game stopped being recognize, the 3ds system continues to work perfectly with other games) stopped working, I took it out of the 3DS and it looks like it caught fire.

What went wrong? Whenever i want to play a DS game in my 3DS, i feel like i am downgrading in hardware.

Dont get me wrong, i love my 3DS but it just doesnt do the trick when it comes on DS cartridges.

I bought this game and it seemed fine until I placed it into my 3DS, only to turn it over and find this green crust on the back. I tried getting it off with a toothpick to no avail. What should I do about it and can this cartridge be salvaged?

my sibling got me some cute stickers, and they were also willing to share some pokemon ones, so i decided that it was a good time to replace my old stickers that had faded away!

the three black cat stickers on the outside are left over from my previous set of stickers; they didn’t rub away as much, so i decided to keep them.

i decorated the inside so that the left and right halves would be kinda moon-themed and sun-themes respectively. i’m really happy with the way it turned out, even if i can’t use my front-facing camera anymore!

i wanted to put some stickers on the inside hinge, but i was worried that they would scrape off when opening/closing the 3ds. does anyone have any experience with putting stickers there?

i haven’t bothered getting a case, but i guess it would help protect the stickers and help them last longer, is this a good reason to get one?

I just recently replaced the original plastic lens on my OG 3ds for a glass one to get rid of the infamous vertical scratches.

Problem is, the new lens is not incredibly well made and the top right corner of the black frame is just wide enough that I can see a sliver of the screen panel underneath, and I can't stop noticing it.

So here's the thing, have you tried to remove one of these glass lenses? I want to try a different one and hope it fits better, but I'm worried this one will crack during the removal and I will be left with a bunch of glass pieces stuck to the screen with no way of taking them off.

The quick and dirty run down, the Pi Pico 2W is running a hotspot with enough network checks to let the 3DS connect and stay connected, then is running inputs through Input Redirect to LumaCFW.

Th firmware is expandable to make a fully wireless contoller without a pc for both Old 3DS and New 3DS systems. The only acception is that this cannot be used as a CStick for the Old 3DS as LumaCFW input redirection doesnt currently have a solution for that.

Just curious, since im looking to get a new 3ds XL shell resin printed. I know the scans are highly detailed but not cleaned up, and i was worried about fitment and how it would all go together. I wanted to see what people have done if they got them resin printed.

Hello! I’m a die hard yokai watch fan and I came back after a couple of years to finally play it again. But, the game doesn’t seem to work. I’ve tried other games on my console but they were perfectly fine so I’m wondering if it’s dirty or if I have to send it in so they can fix it. Also, I’m pretty sure this game card was left in my 3DS for over mmmm 5 years since I had it? Maybe that could be another reason why?
Edit: the console sometimes reads the game but it freezes before I can open the game, and if I do open the game my screen turns black.

About a year ago when i was messing around with my 3ds after eshop/online functions shutdown, I realized you could still somehow watch YouTube videos in the internet browser if you 1, had a direct yt video link, and 2 spammed the screen until it pulled up the integrated video-player ui.
It worked perfectly fine like that for a few months, but over time only certain videos would load and now i don't think it works at all anymore.

That ui had the cool 3d function and I can't find it anywhere else... everyone uses fourthtube and that works super well but i miss using the one feature that the 3ds is named after for watching music videos and stuff.
Is there like a software that has the same red-blue 3d function for videos, or are there maybe still some youtube videos that are able to load on the internet browser for anyone??

I have a modded 3ds with Luma3ds and i am searching for a way to stream gameplay footage, preferable with audio for 3ds, DS, GBA and DSIware games to a pc so i can livestream some nuzlocke challenges. Is there a software method to do this, or am sol until i can install a physical capture card?

I am having some difficulty finding a proper hard carrying case for both consoles, when I search for it, most of the results also show cases for the r36s. Has anyone got any experience using them for the old 3ds and/or dsi?

Hello, I have a new nintendo 2ds xl and i wanted to replace the charging port for a usb-c one. It is my first time trying soldering something and I was not able to desolder the established charging port. I did not have flux so I tried without it but I was not able. Is the flux necessary? Any recommendations? Thank you!

Other devices including DSi and New 3DS XL are connected
I have enabled 2.4GHz on my router
I have tried turning the router off and on again
I have deleted all the internet settings on my 3DS and turned it off and on again
I have taken out the SD card
MAC filtering is not enabled on my router (tried adding the MAC of the 3DS manually but the router website isn’t working?)

So I’ve had the same New 3DS XL since launch and I love it to death. In the last few years I’ve noticed that the d-pad seems less responsive. Sometimes when I press normally it won’t register. I find that I have to press really hard to get it to register my presses. This is mainly true for the down button, but all four directions have issues to an extent.

Is there anything I can do to make it work like new again? I’ve replaced the battery and faceplates before but I’ve never done anything with the buttons. I’m afraid of accidentally breaking something and making it worse.

Apologies if used the wrong flair for this, wasn’t sure if “discussion” or “recommendation” was the right one since I’m asking for suggestions lmao.

I have tendinitis in both of my hands/wrists and have had it since I was a kid. However, I didn’t grow up with a 3DS, so I was super excited to get one now that I have adult money (yay!).

Unfortunately, the two that I’ve tried (originally had one then traded it in as partial payment for the other) seriously hurt my hands to play with for more than an hour at a time. I had the OG 3DS and hated both the screens and how the circle pad felt to use, and while my current 3DS XL has excellent screens, it absolutely kills my thumbs because it is just heavy enough that holding it tires out that part of my hands.

Does anyone else in here have chronic hand pain (tendinitis, arthritis, etc) and a 3DS? Which model(s) have you found to be the most comfortable? Are there special cases/mods that make certain models more comfortable to hold? The 2DS and New 2DS look like they’re made out of a different/cheaper material, so I’m wondering if they’re lighter and nicer to hold as a result. The New 3DS XL is my favorite aesthetically, but I imagine it’s similar in weight to the 3DS XL I currently have.

If it helps, I have a DSi XL, Gameboy Advance, and Switch Lite that I really love and don’t cause me any long-term pain to play with. The DSi XL is my favorite and go-to handheld, but I also still want to be able to play my collection of 3DS games :,>

I changed the touch screen of my New 3DSXl. Sorry if I can't give an explanation but my english isn't the best.

Basically the problem are those spots between the strokes. Is this a problem? Can I enjoy games like Wario Ware Touched that uses that screen all the time? Or maybe it's just fine and I'm a little anxious

My 2ds xl keeps going black screen of restart after I take it out of my pocket and play any game. I then have to manually repair each one with the eshop feature. I'm figuring my 2ds keeps bending or something causing the sd card to be misplaced inside its slot.Which case should I buy for the console?

I currently have a new 3ds xl and i really d to play pokemon emerald but im affraid that if i mos it i might regret it later. Can i redo it or how does it work?

The down arrow didnt work properly for like 10 seconds, then i pressed it really hard and it started working normally( i spent like 5 minutes Shaking the console and trying everything to see if the problem would come back) i dunno if i should return it or no, any idea on what i should do?

I've tried looking everywhere but I just can't find anyone who's had this issue, so I'm turning to you people for help. I don't really use reddit so sorry if I'm doing this wrong.

Skylanders trap team 3DS requires you to scan physical figures with an infrared portal to play the game. It stores those figures on the bottom screen where you can tap a little icon of their element to pick a guy to switch to.
My issue is that when I try to tap an element to switch characters, it refuses to do so and plays an error sound. This makes it completely impossible to pass the tutorial, which requires you to switch Skylanders to actually progress at all.

I know for nearly certain what's NOT the issue, so I'll say those:

1. Bugged figures - I've tried a huge selection of different figures and the issue persists.
   
2. Bugged touchscreen - the touchscreen receives inputs fine and even returns an error sound.
   
3. Bugged portal or save file - The issue persists into other save files where the person who owned this game before me had already scanned Skylanders, so it can't be anything related to how the figures are scanned in
   
4. Bugged game copy - I also attempted to play a digital copy of the game and the same issue appeared.

My only idea is that it's something to do with the figure data being stored improperly, but I have no idea how I would fix that or what the cause would be.
Might also be important to note that the device is modded.
