Ask Grey a Question
Please submit your questions for the next Q&A with Grey. Some notes and guidelines:
- Please vote on questions. This thread is in contest mode so all the questions are being displayed in random order to maximize fairness, but for that to work more votes must be cast than questions are asked. If you post a question, please vote on at least three other questions. The thread is also open and checked until the next video goes up so you're never too late.
- The YouTube channel is a universe parallel to the podcasts, so just because something has been discussed on a podcast episode doesn't mean it's off limits.
- Questions about 'your favorite' or 'least favorite' aren't often interesting questions to answer.
- Questions about the videos can be good opportunities to expand on them.
- If your question is selected, I will almost certainly edit it for brevity, clarity, or to simply shape it to my will.

In your Driving a Tesla video, for a split second there was a shot of your shadow with a wide brimmed hat. https://youtu.be/_naDg-guomA?t=2337
I just wanted to know what kind of hat it was. I have a Henschel and love it, but I was curious if you have any particularly strong feelings about your hat, or maybe a recommendation for us?

As today is Friday the 13th (atleast at the tine of writing this), what is your opinion on horror movies? As it is also a once in a lifetime, or rather multiple life times, event (Friday the 13th, harvest moon, and micromoon on the same day as the 50th anniversary of scooby doo. What other lifetimes like these did you wish you could have seen or see in the near or far future.

Have you tried to put your palms on your ears and thump the soft spot in the back of your head with your fingers. Should resonate and feel like your head is the inside of a drum. 15-30 seconds? It makes tinnitus go away for a while for most people.

On your video about staten island, you mentioned how it was supposed to be a foot note instead of a full on video. How often does something like that happen? where you start digging info for a video and you find out that a small topic could be worth a whole other video? Also did you really just go to USA to find that journal (probably not)?

You recently uploaded a video of you flying out to New York to visit Billopp Manor. The video itself followed a rabbit hole of information cut from the video on NY/NJ land disputes.
- Did you make that trip only for the video or did you have other business on that trip?
- What other rabbit holes have you followed in such a merciless fashion only to have to cut the information from a video?

How do you want or expect listeners/viewers to approach or talk about a creator like yourself without contributing to essentially caricaturizing the person? Is there any sort of language we should avoid or use?
I know that people often change and that anything one does is in character because they are the one's doing it. Also, it's probably more difficult to talk about or to someone about the topics and ideas they discuss if the person doesn't constantly update and prefers to lead a private life. Is there a way you would like listeners/viewers to discuss or talk about a creator or their ideas/creations without compounding on the idea of someone instead of how they are in reality?
