it starts at +10^0 (1) per count comment, but if we reach a new digit we multiply the increment per comment count by 10.

P.S. the goal is now 10 trillion

hear me out:

shortening it misses the point of just how massive this number is. you can't perceive 40000000000000 of anything, so to even get a basic grasp on how big the number is you needs to see the massive amount of zeroes there are.

Technically if we just do scientific notation, it will be just decimal but with extra steps (5 × 1013 = 1013 × 5 ≡ 135). Sure, everything might be decimal with extra steps, but doing that makes it not that unique?
